If you are unhappy with the way your nose looks, it can affect how you feel about yourself.
Rhinoplasty (or a "nose job") is a surgery to reshape the bone, cartilage, or skin of the nose, making it more proportionate or symmetrical.
Dr. Sahar Nadimi of Chicago Hair Institute can perform rhinoplasty for Chicago, IL, patients to help them look and feel their best...
Did You Know?
Rhinoplasty can do more than improve your nasal shape. This plastic surgery procedure can also address certain respiratory problems that can inhibit a patient’s ability to breathe properly through the nose. Many patients experience a major improvement in their quality of life after having this procedure.
Top Rhinoplasty Benefits
Rhinoplasty can change the size and shape of the nose, reduce or increase the width of the nasal bridge, reduce or increase the size of the nostrils, realign a crooked nose, reshape the tip of the nose to reduce size or length, or eliminate large bumps along the nasal bridge. After a rhinoplasty, your nose will appear more symmetrical and proportionate to the rest of your facial features.
A rhinoplasty is also suitable for treating respiratory problems such as a deviated septum, which can inhibit your ability to breathe properly. Additionally, a rhinoplasty can correct other structural problems or damage suffered due to nasal trauma. Patients who suffered from respiratory problems corrected by the surgery will enjoy the ability to breathe with ease and comfort.
If your nose is crooked, curved, or misshapen, it can affect how you feel about all of your facial features. During your consultation at Chicago Hair Institute in greater Chicago, IL, Dr. Nadimi will listen to your cosmetic concerns to design a procedure that helps you get the nose you've always wanted. I have had a terrific experience with Dr Sahar Nadimi for facial injections, namely Botox. She has such a delicate touch and I am so pleased with the results. I want to still look natural and not frozen. I highly recommend her to anyone thinking about Botox! You will be amazed by the results.View on Google

Open vs. Closed Rhinoplasty
There are two primary rhinoplasty techniques: open rhinoplasty and closed rhinoplasty. Dr. Nadimi offers both at our greater Chicago practice. Here's how these techniques differ:
- Incisions are made on the tissue between the nostrils
- Scars are hidden underneath the nose
- This method allows for easier access to nasal bone and cartilage
- This method enables greater accuracy during nasal reshaping
- It is always used in revision rhinoplasty cases
- Incisions are made within the nostrils (no external incisions)
- Scars are hidden inside of the nostrils
- Patients can expect slightly less swelling
- This method can be used for most rhinoplasties
Dr. Nadimi will ultimately choose which technique is right for you based on your unique concerns, treatment goals, surgical history, physical attributes (cartilage and skin thickness), and other factors.
I give the highest marks possible to Dr. Sahar Nadimi and her staff. I'm from out of state and found the Chicago Hair Institute during a Google search, and I'm glad I did. Dr. Nadimi is a very skilled surgeon, and I found her communication skills before, during, and after surgery, to be of the highest order. The staff put me at ease throughout, and they allowed me to come in on as many days post surgery for washing or check up as I wanted. I felt very taken care of. The surgery I received was an FUT hair restoration, mainly of the front hairline, to cover an old scar, along with a few additional grafts in the crown region. My experience at the Chicago Hair Institute Clinic was A+++, and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone. Thank you.View on Google
I am revising my earlier review per a dialogue with Dr. Konior and upcoming appointment. I was frustrated by a lack of viable medical options at this stage. Dr. Konior was open to a dialogue about the situation and acknowledged the miscommunication between me as the patient and his staff. He has agree to treat me directly in the future to avoid this type of miscommunication and help me through this confusing and difficult situation. As the condition worsens, I will continue to seek consultation directly from Dr. Konior. As a true US leader in experience and expertise he sets the standard for a practice in this specialty.View on Google
Are You a Good Candidate for Rhinoplasty?
Dissatisfaction with Your Nose
Rhinoplasty is appropriate for any patient who is unhappy with their appearance due to the size and shape of their noses.
Teens are often the most dissatisfied with the appearance of their noses. However, we do not recommend rhinoplasty until the nose has stopped growing. For girls, this is usually around age 15, but it can be as late as 17 or 18 for boys.
Impaired Nasal Function
Rhinoplasty can also be an appropriate treatment for a broken nose, deviated septum, or other condition that inhibits breathing.
Good Overall Health
Patients should be in good health overall to undergo plastic surgery. It is important to discuss any potential health concerns with Dr. Nadimi during your consultation.
Patients should have realistic expectations for the potential outcome of their procedure. It is important to discuss your treatment expectations with Dr. Nadimi during your consultation.

Life after Nose Surgery
One of the best parts of nasal surgery is that there is very little downtime required. Most nasal splints are removed after a week and most patients return to work and light activities after about three weeks. Dr. Nadimi will provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure that you experience an efficient, successful recovery.
About one month after surgery, most of the facial swelling will have subsided and patients can begin to see their results. However, it can take up to one year for your final nasal shape to become visible. The results of your nasal procedure will last a lifetime.
Common Fears and Concerns from Rhinoplasty Patients
How much does rhinoplasty cost?
The cost of nose surgery varies from patient to patient. After assessing your nose, Dr. Nadimi can create a detailed treatment proposal and provide a custom quote for nose surgery. She can also address any concerns you have about the cost of the procedure.
Does rhinoplasty hurt?
The surgery itself is performed under anesthesia, so there won't be any discomfort during the procedure. After surgery, some facial sensitivity, swelling, and bruising are to be expected. However, most discomfort can be alleviated with over-the-counter pain medication and usually goes away after a few days.
Will people be able to tell that I had a nose job?
Dr. Nadimi works carefully to reshape your nose in a way that complements your other facial features. While close friends and family may notice that you've had nasal surgery, your results will be so natural-looking and the scarring so discreet that strangers will not notice that you've had plastic surgery.
