Eyebrow Transplant

Do you have thin eyebrows? Are you tired of relying on eyebrow pencils or cosmetic tattoos to make your eyebrows appear fuller? An eyebrow transplant can add fullness to the eyebrows by moving hair from the scalp to the eyebrows.

See why so many come to Chicago Hair Institute for natural-looking yet transformative hair transplants.

Benefits of Eyebrow Transplants

Improve Confidence

Eyebrows frame your face and your eyes, allow you to express your feelings and display your confidence. With fuller, thicker eyebrows, you can navigate the world and social situations knowing your look reflects the "you" you want to present.

Save Money

When you're experiencing hair loss in the eyebrows, you may spend a lot of money on eyebrow pencils, makeup, and microblading to give you a short-term solution. While an eyebrow transplant has a larger price tag upfront, you can ultimately save money in the long run.

Long-Term Solution

While cosmetics only last a day and microblading only lasts a few years, eyebrow transplants with our Chicago, IL, team are a solution for hair loss in the brows that can last a lifetime.

During a consultation with Dr. Raymond Konior at our Oakbrook Terrace hair restoration office, you will be encouraged to discuss your goals for your eyebrow transplant and ask questions. Dr. Konior will examine your eyebrows and the potential donor site, which will likely be your scalp. If you're a good candidate for a transplant, you can schedule your surgery.

On the day of your surgery, our team will administer anesthesia to keep you comfortable.

Donor Site

Your surgeon will trim the hair of the donor site to make the follicles more accessible. Grafts will be removed from the donor site using the FUT or FUE method, and the area will be sutured closed.

The hair follicles removed from the donor site will be transplanted into the eyebrows. Sutures may be placed to hold the transplanted hair follicles in place.

Return Home

Most patients can return home right after surgery. A trusted friend or family member will have to drive you.

Recovering After Your Transplantation

The recovery period for an eyebrow transplant is fairly short. Dr. Konior will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions that will include:

  • Get plenty of rest.
  • Gently clean the surgical sites.
  • Take pain medication as prescribed.
  • Wear your bandages until your surgeon tells you to remove them.
  • Don't participate in strenuous activities until cleared by your surgeon.
  • Attend all follow-up appointments with our Chicago, IL, hair restoration surgeon.

Keep in mind that it's normal for newly transplanted hair to fall out in the weeks following surgery. This will allow new eyebrow hair to grow from the grafts in the following months.

Trimming Your Eyebrows After a Hair Transplant

Eyebrow transplants use hair follicles from the scalp, so your new eyebrow hairs will grow longer like the hair on your scalp. You may need to trim your eyebrows regularly to keep them at the length you want.
