Dr. Bhumik Shah
Dr. Bhumik Shah has called Chicago his home since moving here from India at age fifteen. He majored in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois and graduated medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine from University of Illinois at Peoria - College of Medicine, after which he began his quest to specialize in the field of surgical hair restoration. Wanting to pursue training at the highest level possible, he traveled extensively for two years to pursue his dream, studying under several elite surgeons in the United States, Europe and Middle East. Afterwards, he completed his training with a one year fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Raymond Konior, an internationally recognized physician in the field, and an acknowledged perfectionist with planning and executing hair restoration surgery.
Dr. Shah maintains membership in the ISHRS, is an avid reader of articles and research in the field, and regularly engages in CME learnings to stay abreast of the latest research and surgical techniques. Outside of work he maintains a dedicated commitment to fitness and weight training, which over the years has taught him valuable life lessons relating to discipline, perseverance, and progression. Dr. Shah understands that hair loss can have a significant negative impact on its sufferers, and his passion is to deliver the best possible outcome for his patients. He maintains a philosophy that one must be a master of his craft, and he strives to leave no stone unturned in delivering the most exemplary service possible as a hair restoration surgeon.
